(ANSA) – BRESCIA, 10 NOV – For the first hearing in the trial on the nautical accident last summer in which Umberto Garzarella and Greta Nedrotti died in Brescia, on Lake Garda, there is only one accused, Patrick Kassen , 52 years old.
Kassen is still under house arrest after taking responsibility for driving at the moment of the terrible impact between the Riva dei Germani and the goiter of the young Brescians.
The insurance of the two Germans who on June 19 in the waters of Lake Garda overwhelmed the gozzo on which Umberto Garzarella and Greta Nedrotti were stationary, also compensated the girl’s family, after having done so with that of Garzarella. Compensation for Greta’s family is around 2 and a half million euros, while for the Garzarella family it was around one million and 300 thousand euros. After the compensation, the Trotti family withdrew the civil action.
The Municipality of Saló and the Comunità Montana del Garda entered a civil party in the trial against the two Germans who on June 19 in the waters of Lake Garda caused an accident with their boat in which the young Umberto Garzarella and Greta Nedrotti.
Greta’s parents are in the classroom with a bouquet of white roses in memory of their daughter. In the courtroom there are dozens of friends of the young victims. (HANDLE).
