(ANSA) – ROME, DEC 20 – From today it is possible to access the heritage of Italian wines and the wine culture “according to Veronelli” through an application that offers, alongside the reviews of the Guide, all the articles published by the Veronelli Seminar, with insights and constantly updated content.
This was announced by the Association founded by the father of Italian wine criticism in specifying that the new application is for iOS and Android smartphones.
Ten years after the first digital version of its Guide, in fact, the Veronelli Seminar puts “at your touch” not only the information contained in the 1,272 pages of the freshly printed volume but also a tool that makes it easy and intuitive to consult other contents as well. Among the new features, the accurate geolocation service, extended for the first time to winemakers, wineries and places of good drinking: 208 restaurants where wine is the protagonist, told and recommended by the editorial staff.
2,168 companies are described in the Gold Guide I Vini di Veronelli 2022 and 16,642 labels have been selected by the curators Andrea Alpi, Gigi Brozzoni, Marco Magnoli and Alessandra Piubello. The Three Gold Stars, reserved for excellent wines that obtained an evaluation equal to or higher than 94/100, were assigned to 399 samples; while there are 25 Grandi Esordi, wines of surprising quality at the first review. In addition to being available on the App Store and Google Play, from this year those who buy or receive the printed edition of the Gold Guide as a gift can consult the application for free on their smartphone, activating the 2022 edition via a personalized QR Code.
