Germany did not persuade Ukraine to make concessions because of the threat from the Russian Federation.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba on the air of the talk show “Today” on the TV channel “Ukraine 24” after a meeting in Kiev with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Annalena Berbock.

“Now in Ukraine, the question is very popular: do foreign guests force the Ukrainian authorities to make any concessions? I declare with full responsibility that neither today during the meeting, nor before that, Annalena did not force me to make any concessions on the issue of resolving the conflict,” Kuleba said.
According to him, it was an exchange of views between “friends and partners who are striving for one thing – to resolve this conflict by diplomatic means.”

Weapons from Germany
On February 6, German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht announced that there would be no arms supplies to Ukraine from Germany. She explained this by saying that aid to Ukraine could “provoke an aggravation.”
Before that, the Ukrainian Embassy in Germany asked the German government to provide defense weapons. In turn, the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz, said that Germany does not plan to supply weapons to Ukraine, but will try diplomatically to prevent the possibility of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Earlier, Christina Lambrecht promised to provide Ukraine with five thousand army helmets.
Recall that now near the borders of Ukraine, Russia has deployed approximately 115,000 troops. Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov said that there was no preparation for a Russian offensive on Ukraine, and the formation of strike groups was not recorded.
