Ruberti resigns as head of the Rome Cabinet

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 19 – The head of the Rome Cabinet, Albino Ruberti, has resigned with a letter sent to the mayor of the capital, Roberto Gualtieri. The decision was made following the publication by Il Foglio of the shocking video that sees him as the protagonist of a heated dispute with heavy threats. “To avoid exploitation that could damage your prestige and that of the institution you represent, I hereby send my mandate as Chief of Staff”, writes Ruberti in the letter. “Illustrious mayor, regarding the video published yesterday evening by the newspaper ‘Il Foglio’ – he writes – I confirm that what happened is a verbal quarrel during a private dinner, which has nothing to do with my institutional role.
