(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 17 – The disappointment of elimination from the Champions League is on the pitch, but after even worse: Paul Pogba said, 36 hours after Manchester United’s defeat at Old Trafford against Atletico Madrid, that he had ” lived the worst family nightmare “when the meeting ended he was informed that the thieves had entered his house late in the evening, while the two children aged three and one were sleeping, with the nanny at home.
“Fortunately, nothing happened to them, but coming home and not knowing if they were unharmed was terrible”, said the French midfielder, who entered the final part of the match and accompanied to the stadium by his wife. Pogba has offered a cash reward to anyone who is “able to help” with the investigation. “As a father – he said – there is no worse feeling than not being able to protect your children: I sincerely hope that no one should ever experience what I felt on Tuesday evening”.
The 29-year-old midfielder is not the first case of night thefts in Manchester. In recent months Cancelo, defender of the City, had reacted to the intrusion of thieves in his villa and had been hit in the face. (HANDLE).
