The Olympic gold triumphs with an amazing final comeback in Dudince (Slovakia) and qualifies for the Eugene World Championships in the 35 km walk: in the very classic Dudinska50 he lays down the law with a time of 2h29: 09 on the new international distance that will make his world championship debut in July in Oregon and falls well below the 2h33: 00 required, also offering a splendid demonstration of form in view of a season full of commitments.
The blue of the Fiamme Oro – gold in Tokyo on 20 km – was back on the longest distance after more than three years from the first (and only) time in his career at Gioiosa Marea in 2019 (2h35: 03).
