Cagliari: it is official, Liverani is the new coach

(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, 08 JUN – Now it’s official: Fabio Liverani is the new Cagliari coach. Agreement reached in the afternoon with the Roman coach, who will take over the technical leadership of the rossoblù team from 1 July. For the new coach the agreement is for one year with automatic renewal in case of promotion.

Born in 1976, Liverani played in the Cagliari Primavera between 1993 and 1996. In his career as a football player he played almost 400 matches among professionals, 288 in Serie A, with participation in European cups and competitions in the blue jersey.

Liverani began his career as a coach in the Genoa youth teams, then in the summer of 2013 promotion to the first team.

Agreement also with Cesare Bovo, who within the Liverani technical staff will cover the role of assistant coach, and with the technical collaborators Federico Fabellini, Giuseppe Capello (match analyst) and the former defender Fabio Pisacane, who returns to Cagliari after six seasons as a footballer. Goalkeeper coach Walter Bressan. The athletic trainers will be Maurizio Cantarelli and Mauro Baldus, with Francesco Fois dedicated to injury recovery. (HANDLE).
