The Ukrainian team was disqualified at the European Athletics Championship

The men’s athletics male team was disqualified after a 4 × 100 meter relay at the 20125 European Championship, which took place in Madrid from June 26 to June 29. Oleksandr Sosnovena, Oleksandr Sokolov, Dmitry Yanchuk and Ilya, ran with the best time of the season – 39.10 seconds, but they did not win.

The team ran the eighth track and finished the fourth, but DQ (disqualification) appeared in the final protocol near Ukraine. The reason was a violation of the TR 17.2.3 rule – a template outside the route.


The repetition showed that at the third stage, Dmitry Yanchuk partially switched to a seven -year track, which currently managed an athlete from Switzerland. This led to the cancellation of the result and zero points in the command loan.
