Yuri Mikhailovich was born on April 15, 1954 in Stria. He began his football career in the local Avangard team, and at the highest level declared himself in the Carpathians, where from 1975 to 1981 he spent 246 matches and scored 29 goals. After the Carpathian association and SKA Dubrovni played for the “NISTRA” from Chisinau, with whom he made his way to the Premier League. He later played for the Carpathians, and at the end of the 1980s he spent several seasons in the Lower League of the GDR and Germany.
Having returned to Ukraine, Dubrovnaya became a game coach in Galicia (Drokhobich), and then worked in a gas engine, Lviva, Niva (Ternopil), Polish Spartakus and other clubs. In 2012, he brought the Carpathians from Kolomia to victory in the amateur championship of Ukraine.
“Yuri Dubrovnaya left a large mark not only as a player, but also as a coach and mentor. His life is an example of serving the game, team and people, ”the obituary says.
