(ANSA) – TEL AVIV, MAY 12 – The Palestinian National Authority (NPC) has rejected Israel’s request for a joint investigation into the killing of Al-Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh. Civil Affairs Minister Hussein al-Sheikh said this on twitter, denying contrary press information. The minister added that the NPC will carry out its investigation “independently” and the results will be disclosed “in full transparency”. The PNA also – according to the media – will not deliver the bullet extracted from the body of the reporter in the autopsy carried out yesterday at the ‘Al Najah’ Institute of Forensic Medicine in Nablus.
