Weather expected to remain stormy for the next few days in Germany

Storms batter the west of Germany in the last days. According to local media, one person died and 40 others were injured, 10 of them in serious condition, after the passage of a tornado that reached several cities. The death took place in the town of Wittgert. The 38-year-old man suffered head injuries after suffering an electric shock in a flooded basement. All the reported injured are in Paderborn, where rail and road transport had to be stopped. The German Weather Service has warned that the weather will remain stormy and officials have urged people to stay indoors. Meteorologists said the extreme weather was caused by warm air coming from Africa meeting cold air from northern Europe.
