Author of the attack was in a wheelchair and threw an object towards the work; painting was not damaged and the local service stopped visits to clean the art
Historical painting painted by Leonardo da Vinci, Monalisa suffered a vandalism attack this Sunday, 29
famous work of art, the Mona Lisa – which bears the original name of La Gioconda – was the target of a vandalism attack this Sunday afternoon, 29, at the Louvre Museum, in Parisat France. Information from local journalists and reports from visitors indicate that one of the visitors, who was in a wheelchair and wearing a wig, threw a pie-like object at the work. Security kicked the boy out of the museum room – which was full, due to the work of Leonardo da Vinci – and employees started cleaning up. The identity of the vandal, as well as his motivation, has not yet been revealed. Monalisa’s painting did not suffer structural damage, as there is a crystal plate that separates it from visitors.

Maybe this is just nuts to me💀but an man dressed as an old lady jumps out of a wheel chair and attempted to smash the bullet proof glass of the Mona Lisa. He then proceeds to smear cake on the glass, and throws roses everywhere all before being tackled by security. 😂??? pic.twitter.com/OFXdx9eWcM
