Pakistan: 15 officers injured in a suicide attack in the north

(ANSA) – ROME, JULY 04 – At least “15 members of security personnel and one civilian were injured today in a suicide attack” in the tribal district of Northern Waziristan in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Kp), in Pakistan. This was announced to ANSA by two local intelligence officials.

A security force vehicle was attacked by a suicide bomber who threw himself at the vehicle with his motorcycle loaded with explosives.

“The wounded soldiers were transferred to the military hospital in the city of Bannu,” the officials added.

Three are in critical condition “.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Northern Waziristan is an unstable district of the Kp province that borders the Khost province of Afghanistan. (HANDLE).
