(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 17 – Russian intelligence agents have been tasked with determining and tracing the routes used to transfer Western weapons to Ukraine: Ukrainian military intelligence reports, according to Ukrinform.
Russian military attachés throughout the European Union have been tasked not only with determining the routes and itineraries of shipments, but also the quantities of arms consignments that allied countries deliver to Kiev. For this reason, the intelligence continues, the Russians have received the order through encrypted communication channels to intensify the recruitment of police officers and civilians involved in these expeditions in the EU.
Furthermore, in the regions bordering Ukraine, Russian spies are trying to involve representatives of local communities and pro-Russian activists. “When Europeans receive such cooperation proposals from the Russians, they immediately turn to the police and security agencies,” reads a report.
