(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 23 – The first ladies of Latvia Andra Apine-Levite and of Lithuania Diana Nausėdienė today visited the Ukrainian towns of Bucha and Irpin, in the Kiev region, the scene of massacres by Russian forces. This was reported by Ukrinform citing the regional military administration of Kiev.
In Irpin, the two first ladies saw firsthand the completely destroyed residential buildings, while in Bucha they laid flowers on the site of the mass graves.
The first ladies then visited the Irpin intensive care hospital, together with the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko and the deputy head of the Kiev regional military administration Vitaly Vlasiuk.
It was this health facility that operated during the hostilities and provided qualified assistance to the residents of the community. (HANDLE).
