(ANSA) – LONDON, 02 AUG – Twenty-year-old Jaswant Singh Chail was formally indicted by the British police for violating the Treason Act, the law that punishes crimes of high treason and outrage against the monarchy, last year while trying to infiltrate Windsor Castle, the now habitual residence of 96-year-old Elizabeth II. Scotland Yard announced it today.
According to the reconstruction of the investigators, the intruder had the intention “to harm the queen or to alarm her”. The accusation will now be assessed in a trial before a judge. (HANDLE).
