According to the announcement by the Vietnamese National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasts, Mulan, which is the second cyclone to hit Vietnam this year, was located 480 kilometers southeast of the northern province of Quang Ninh at 7:00 am local time. Wednesday. The maximum speeds recorded at the moment are between 62 and 88 kilometers per hour, with gusts up to 117 km / h.

The cyclone is traveling in a northwest direction and is expected to pass over northern Vietnam in the next 24-48 hours, weakening and becoming a tropical storm with winds between 62 and 74 kilometers per hour.

From Wednesday to Friday, torrential rains between 100 and 200 millimeters, impetuous winds along the coast between the provinces of Quang Ninh and Ninh Binh and very rough seas are expected in northern Vietnam and the north central provinces of Thanh Hoa and Nghe An. north of the eastern Vietnamese sea and in the peripheral area of ​​the Gulf of Tonkin.
