A magnitude 6.1 earthquake hit Greece on Tuesday (13) from Brazil (Wednesday, the 14th, in Greece), with epicenter at sea, 15 km from Fry, capital of the island of Kasos, reported the geological service of United States (USGS). The tremor occurred at a depth of 78.4 km, at 1:51 pm. There is no immediate information about victims or damage.

Greece is located on various geological failures. Between January 26 and February 13, more than 18,400 tremors, most of low magnitude, were recorded in the region of the Cyclades archipelago, according to the Seismology Laboratory of the University of Athens (EKPA).
