This last weekend, there were parliamentary elections in Portugal. Although the ruling party (AD) -left center party or right center, depending on the cut -, has been ahead, the growth of the conservative in this last claim. Similar phenomenon happened in the elections in France and Germany.
The growth of the right in Europe is explained by the fact that the left defend disconnected guidelines from the real problems of the population. Woke agenda (abortion, gender ideology, drug legalization, environmental alarmism, etc.) interest left intellectuals, but they are not a problem for the middle class and the poorest population. The people itself wants to know of security, immigration issues, controlled inflation, employment and economic growth.
