THE Petrobras (Petr4) Studies options for its operations at the Bahia Polo, including the possibility of its sale, said the president of the state -owned company, Magda Chambriardthis Saturday, punctuating that the decision will be guided by the return and interests of the company.

The pole was put for sale in the previous government of Jair Bolsonarobut the process was suspended after the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva assume the presidency and end a broad process of ongoing divestment on the state oil company.
Chambriard said on Saturday that the Bahia Polo, which brings together about 28 land concessions, has “very little production” and that sometimes “involves a great effort” to produce less than produces a single pre-salt well.
“When you have a barrel of $ 100, $ 90 … This makes more sense than when it is $ 65,” she told journalists during the Strategic Forum for the Brazil-China Naval Industry in Rio de Janeiro.

When asked if the company could replicate this analysis at the Urucu Polo, in Amazonas, the executive said this is the best oil in Brazil. “This is the best oil, most valued,” he said, without giving details.
During the event, Brazilian and Chinese shipyards signed this Saturday to develop technological and commercial partnerships amid increased demand for Petrobras vessels.
