(ANSA) – FLORENCE, 07 MAY – Some areas currently not used in the Parterre of Florence, in Piazza della Libertà, had been transformed into illegal bedrooms complete with mattresses, stoves, lamps and furniture. Now, says Palazzo Vecchio, the municipal police personnel have intervened to free the premises, together with the technical services, and have regained possession of the spaces by restoring the locks on the access doors. Alia vehicles then intervened for the collection of material and waste. The images disseminated by the Municipality in the civic network show an area of ​​severe social degradation. In the service rooms of the structure, but also outdoors, squatters lived without the minimum personal and sanitary safety and set up camps to sleep.
