Everything is ready for the parade on June 2 at the Fori Imperiali: 5,500 soldiers and civilians will parade. The celebrations were opened by the solemn flag-raising at the Altare della Patria and the homage to the Unknown Soldier by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella who, accompanied by the Minister of Defence, Guido Crosetto, will then review the departments before the parade .
Also in this edition the mayors will open the event, parading with the tricolor band. Afterwards, the soprano Eleonora Buratto will sing the Italian anthem accompanied by the Banda Interforze. The opening sector will see the presence, among others, of the flags of the armed forces and of the Guardia di Finanza, of the banners of Italian Regions, Provinces and Municipalities, of the banners of the combatant and military associations and the flags of the UN, NATO, EU and those of the multinational organizations in which the armed forces operate. The review will be structured in 10 sectors which will see the participation of all components of the state: military and civilian personnel, armed and non-armed bodies of the state, flags and banners, military bands and fanfares. In addition to the overflight of the national aerobatic team, the passage of helicopters, aircraft and heavy vehicles is also foreseen.
