“The sanctions will not help”: BAS sees hardly any savings potential for civil allowance

Federal Minister of Labor Bärbel BAS (SPD) sees little savings potential through tightened sanctions in the citizen allowance. “The sanctions will not help”she said in the “Interview of the Week” of Deutschlandfunk.

It is an incorrect assumption that a lot of money can be saved through uncooperative recipients of citizens’ money. “The truth is when you look at the numbers, the so -called total confident are a small number”said Bas.
